The 2023-2024 track and field season in Jamaica officially kicked off today with two exciting meets: the Tyser Mills Classics at the GC Foster College and the Wesley Powell Track and Field Meet at the Excelsior High School grounds. The Tyser Mills Classics featured a full slate of events, including the 5000m, 800m, 1500m, 400m, and 200m in all classes. Field events such as the Javelin and Long Jump also took place across all classes. The competition was fierce, and athletes put on a display of speed, endurance, and skill.
