Danielle Williams showed that the controversial events at the National championships have not affected her negatively by posting a new National record 12.32 in the sprint hurdles at the London Diamond League. She ran 12.41 in the heat earlier. This win sees her leading the event on points in the Diamond League, needing an outright win (on points) if she is to be considered for an IAAF wild card to the World Championships.

Double Olympic 100m champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce stole the show on day two as she romped to 10.78 to win the 100m. Fraser-Pryce had demonstrated her well-being on day one with an awesome anchor which saw Jamaica make up over 5 metres on Great Britain for the win in an exhibition 4x100m in 42.29.

Defending Olympic champion Elaine Thompson was also in fantastic shape as she strolled to 22.13 win in the 200m.

Sherika Jackson won the 400m in50.69 ahead of training partner Stephenie-Ann McPherson who ran 50.74.

National champion Rushell Clayton showed that she is improving with a tough 54.16 run to win the 400mh.

Ackeem Bloomfield, who finished down the track in the 200m at the National championships, rebounded with a good 44.40 for the 400m win with training partner Nathon Allen third in 44.85. National champion Demish Gaye was 5th with a modest 45.11.

Tajay Gayle spanned a personal best of 8.32 for second in the long jump, while Fedrick Dacres was also second in the Discus with a throw of 67.09.

Olympic champion Omar Mcleod was only 3rd with 13.32 in a tight finish. Yohan Blake also finished third in the 100m with 9.97.
