The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) is advising Athletes and their Coaches / Managers of the following release.

World Athletics in association with the Organisers of the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China has agreed to postpone this year’s event to March 2021.

Nanjing Indoor1The World Athletics Federation has stated that they know China is doing all it can to contain the new Coronavirus and they support them in all their efforts however, it is necessary to provide their athletes, Member Federations and partners with a clear way forward in what is a complex and fast moving set of circumstances.

Consideration was given to the relocation of the event to another country but it is felt that a suitable date can be identified in 2021 when Nanjing will again be requested to host the Championships given the extensive planning and preparation they have put in this event
