Jamaica added two medals on the final day of the competition in Birmingham.

The team of Shiann Salmon, Roneisha McGreggor, Junelle Bromfield and Natoya Goule, in that order, ran 3:26.83 to take silver behind winners Canada. England actually finished in front but was disqualified.

The other medal came from the women’s 4x100m who came from behind on the final leg to claim bronze in 43.08. The race was won by Nigeria in 42.10 with England second with 42.41.

The men’s 4x4000m finished fourth in the final but were disqualified for a lane violation.

Jordan Scott was fifth with 16.11m in the men’s triple jump final while Ackelia Smith finished 7th in the women’s long final with 6.55m.

Finally, Megan Tapper with 12.67 for fourth and Danielle Williams with 12.69 (6th) were both beaten by Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan who ran 12.30 to win the 100mh final. In the men’s 400m final, Anthony Cox could only manage 6th with 46.17 and Nathon Allen ran 48.00 for 8th.
