Congratulations to high jumper Lamara Distin and 800m runner Navasky Anderson who set new Jamaican indoor records in their respective events last weekend.
Lamara cleared 1.97m for a National Record at the Tiger Paw Invitational at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex in South Carolina. Her effort is jointly the fifth-best height in the year so far, shared with Vashti Cunningham, USA and Iryna Gerashchenko, Ukraine. Amazingly, Lamara’s 1.97m also matches the number 3 performance all-time in NCAA history.
