Jamaica picked up two more medals on day four of track and field at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean games. Veteran discus thrower Chad Wright produced a big one, 63.39m, to take gold. It became an extremely fruitful event when Racquil Broderick claimed bronze with 62.07m. Jamaica now has four medals in total.
Men’s 200m.
Kadrian Goldson advanced to the final after finishing third in semifinal one with 20.50. The race was won by Jose Figueroa of Puerto Rico in a fast 19.76. Tyquendo Tracey was also third in semifinal three with 20.51 to also advance to the final.
Women’s 200m.
Krystal Sloley did not finish in semifinal one, while Niesha Burgher won semifinal three with 22.76.
Men’s 110mH.
Sharvis Simmonds could only manage 13.61 for 6th in the final.
Men’s 400m.
Javier Brown stopped the clock at 45.38 for 5th while Kimar Farquharson posted 45.99 for 7th in the final
