Jamaica added one silver to their medals tally on day five of the CAC games, as the men’s 4x100m delivered in fine style. They finished a close second with 38.08 to a well-drilled home team, Dominican Republic who won with an excellent Games record of 37.98.

Women’s 4x100m:
Jamaica finished in 4th in a super close race, just one hundredth of a second behind second. Jamaica ran 43.42 with the Dominican Republic winning in 43.00. Both Puerto Rico and Cuba ran 43.41 for second and third, respectively.

Men’s 800m:
Kirk Dawkins finished 4th in semifinal one with a lowly 1:50.54 and did not advance.

Men’s 200m:
Jamaica finished just outside the medals as Tyquendo Tracey (20.66) and Kadrian Goldson (20.73), were 4th and 5th, respectively.

Women’s 200m:
Niesha Burgher was fourth in a close race, running 23.48.
