However, the men’s 4x100m relay experienced difficulties. The team struggled with baton exchanges in the heats, which hampered their ability to secure an automatic qualifying spot for the final and the World Championships on the first day. While they competed in subsequent rounds, issues persisted, and they ultimately did not qualify through the rounds contested in Guangzhou.

Jamaica’s 4x400m relay teams also competed, with the men’s squad successfully navigating the repechage round to earn their place at the World Championships in Tokyo. The mixed 4x400m team also participated, finishing sixth in their heat.

Overall, Jamaica’s performance at the World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou featured notable successes with medals in the women’s 4x100m and mixed 4x100m relays, alongside securing crucial World Championships qualifications for several teams.
