With the summer track and field season reaching its peak, the road to the 2026 JAAA/Puma National Junior and Senior Championships is quickly narrowing. For athletes aiming to represent Jamaica on the world stage, the time to clock those qualifying standards is now.

There are officially only two local meets left in the JAAA/Puma Series. These events serve as the final opportunities for athletes to sharpen their form and secure their place at the National Stadium for the “Trials” in June.

The Final Qualifying Calendar

Both remaining meets will be held at the National Stadium (unless otherwise stated).

1. JAAA/Puma Meet #3 (click for more)

  • Date: Saturday, May 30, 2026
  • Entry Deadline: Wednesday, May 27th at 8:00 PM

  • Key Events: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, Hurdles (100m, 110m, 400m), 3000m, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put, and Discus.

2. JAAA/Puma Meet #4 (click for more)

  • Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026

  • Entry Deadline: Wednesday, June 3rd at 8:00 PM

  • Key Events: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, Hurdles (100m, 110m), Pole Vault, High Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, and Javelin.

For the Athletes: Don’t Miss the Deadline

These meets are designed specifically to provide a high-competition environment for athletes preparing for national and international assignments. Coaches and athletes are urged to review the event schedules for each meet carefully to ensure their specific disciplines are covered. Remember, the general entry deadline for the National Championships is June 7, 2026, making Meet #4 the absolute last chance to perform before the window closes.
