Intermediate hurdler Rushell Clayton made it lucky number seven for Jamaica at the IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar.

Rushell ClaytonClayton produced a personal best of 53.74 to take the bronze medal behind a world record run from American Delilah Mohammed who posted 52.16 to break her own global mark of 52.20. This puts Jamaica in the fourth position in the standing with seven medals, two gold, three silver and two bronze.
The race was run in two parts. While Mohammed and American colleague Sydney McLaughlin (52.23) set the pace up front in search of gold and the record, the other six competitors battled for bronze. It was Clayton who burst from the trailing pack with less than 100metres to go grab the podium spot.
