Anti-Doping – What to Know?
The following is an excerpt from the 2014 JAAA Amended Articles of Incorporation (JAAA Constitution)
Doping Control
All athletes who are members of the Association and all athletes registered with the Association in accordance with Article 53 hereof, or participating in competitions which are sanctioned or organized by the Association shall be obliged to submit to:-
- out-of-competition dope control administered by the Association, a report of which is to be submitted by the Association to World Athletics (formerly, the IAAF) annually.
- dope control testing at the National Championships or any similar meeting.
- in-competition and out-of-competition testing carried out by the Association, the IAAF and any other body with competent authority to test under the IAAF Anti-Doping Rules
All athletes, athletes support personnel and other persons under the jurisdiction of the Association shall be bound by the Anti-Doping Rules and Procedural Guidelines of the IAAF as may be amended from time to time. The Committee shall make procedural regulations necessary to implement the IAAF Anti-Doping Rules and the Procedural Guidelines and any change that may be made to them.
World Athletics (World governing body for Athletics), which it is currently known, was formerly IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations).
