Velocity Fest 14

More Information on Roster Athletics

We are pleased to share with you the following logistics for Velocity Fest 14:

• Date: Saturday, March 16, National Stadium 4 pm to 8 pm
• Level: World Athletics Continental Tour – Challenger Level
• Standards: Professional level events only (PB standards required – certain exceptions made for members of the top 8 clubs in Jamaica) Athletes do not pay an entry fee.
• Events: 100 (heats and multiple finals), 200, 400, 100/110 hurdles, 400 hurdles, 800 (men), Shot Put, Triple Jump (women), Discus, Javelin (men), Long Jump.
• Throwers are asked to bring their own implements. Weigh-in will take place at the McDonald Tunnel.
• Events will only be contested if 3 or more athletes register and participate.

• Entries at the close of registration will determine how many hurdles we rent and whether we will rent the high jump apparatus.
